WHAT IS DECU(ISRO EDUCATIONAL BODY)

Hello, My Dear Reader

It is one of the best articles from all others Today I have provided depth idea about DECU which stands for ‘Development and Educational Communication Unit’  is an educational body of ISRO. Rapid advancements in the are of information, Communication, and Technologies(ICT) along with the convergence of various technological innovation, system delivery medium …etc.

DECU Perform all the activities to complete our Father of Space Programme

Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s Vision:

".....There are Some who question the relevance of space activities in developing nations. To us, there is no ambiguity of purpose. We do not have the fantasy of competing with the economically advanced nations in the exploration of the moon or the planets or manned space flights, but we are convinced that, if we are to play a meaningful role nationally and in the a community of nations, we must be second to none in the applications of advanced technologies to the real problems of man and society which we find in our country….”

Here below the complete flow chart of the ISRO Organization structure of National Project work.

For more than three decades, ISRO has been committed to using the satellite communication for societal development. Now it has been completed by DECU which is located at Ahmedabad is an entity of ISRO, which is dedicated for realizing satellite-based societal applications.DECU is directly involved in defining, planning, implementation  and conduction socio-economic research & evaluation of various satellite-based societal applications.
Now along with this work, it works with the user agencies to experiment with innovative configurations to meet their requirements.it is through these application-oriented experiments/demonstrations  for communication, production of educational communication material and joint working with end-user with ‘end-to-end’ approach that DECU vision to a covering of the ‘last mile’ in space applications.DECU is an outgrowth of ISRO’s software activities in the system planning, TV program production & transmission and social research initiated during the Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE) in 1975-76.It was earlier the Software System Group(SSG) Of SAC (space application center) and got spun off as a separate entity of ISRO (co-located in SAC campus) in 1983-84.

   DECU Activities:

The Major programs, at present, at DECU- to promote the satellite-based communication systems to support development, education & training include:

       ·         Edusat Utilisation

       ·         Telemedicine and

       ·         Other Satcom Development and Applications incl. Disaster Management

Services (DMS) & Village Resouces Centres (VRCs). Others specific DECU activities/roles are,
       ·         Social Research & Evaluation,

            ·         Contents generation/Program Production & Transmission,

            ·         Training and

            ·         Satcom Networks – Configuration, Implementation & Utilisation

   DECU ORGANISATION:

DECU has 5 Groups looking after various responsibilities.

       ·         Content Generation Group (CGG)
       ·         Studio Facilities Group (SFG)
       ·         Social Research Division (SRD)
       ·         Satcom Network Deployment Group (SNDG)
       ·         Planning & Project Group (PPG)

Now in future check-in Labels "ISRO Knowledge" furthers more articles

Tutorial on EasyEDA desktop software for PCB and schematic design

In this article, I am going to write a tutorial on how to use EasyEDA desktop application for creating a schematic and for PCB design. One of best advantage of this software is that you can create design offline and can automatically synchronize your design with your online EasyEDA account.  It can be used for circuits simulation, PCB deign and electronics circuits design. You can download EasyEDA desktop application by clicking on following link and it will work on windows 7 or its greater version. They are also releasing soon offline application OSX and Linux users. So keep visiting their website for more information.                                                    https://easyeda.com/page/download So let’s start and see how to design a schematic and PCB using EasyEDA offline desktop application. So first of all lets see how to create a schema...
