Engineer II, Analog Design at Microchip

Currently at Microchip vacancy for Engineer II, Analog Design role.

Job Description:

  • Design and Verify Analog/Mixed-Signal macros for High-Speed Datacom SERDES: ADCs, DACs, PLLs, Transmitters/TX, Receivers/RX, LDOs, Regulators, High Speed I/Os, Bandgap, POR, Oscillator, Charge Pump, Under/Over Voltage Protection, DC-DC Switching Converters, Analog Switches etc.
  • System and Transistor-level design and verification utilizing mixed-mode simulation methods across different scenarios, corners and mismatches.
  • Schematic generation and simulation on modern CAD tools (Cadence-Virtuoso).
  • Work closely with layout engineers, reviewing, mitigating and optimizing any impact due to parasitic/proximity layout effects.
  • Generate specification of block-level and top-level Mixed-Signal and Analog designs.
  • Generate behavioural models of Mixed-Signal and Analog blocks.
  • Document and drive formal reviews.
  • Work closely with other designers on implementation and specification details of the interfacing blocks.
  • Define validation plans for post-silicon product-level ATE or lab validation.
  • Interface with and support applications, product and test engineering, marketing, development systems, technology development, CAD, layout and other design organizations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyse complex systems using hand and computer tools. 
  • Ability to collaborate and develop solutions with internal cross functional teams. 
  • Ability to multi-task complex IC design tasks in an evolving project environment. 
  • Ability to meet aggressive timelines and project goals with little to no supervision. 
  • Excellent technical, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Knowledge of Verilog, Liberty timing and IBIS models is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge in device operation and physics. 
  • Strong knowledge in low power and high-speed design techniques.
